Course Aims – you have a month to get one burlesque dance routine together so here’s a list of things you should be considering now:-
A burlesque name for yourself.
A signature costume – it may have something to do with your name.
A piece of music/song/mix that you would like to use for your act.
Props you may want to use.
Buying some nipple tassels.
What kind of character you wish to portray in your first routine – funny, cute, classic, scary, sexy…..

Class 1
I intend to begin with an intro to bump and grind and tease. We will learn the basic steps of burlesque and learn to tease using gloves and boas.
Please bring heels and comfy clothes.
** If you have any costume ideas – please bring everything with you. Ideally wear it but if you’re too shy – just bring it along for discussion.

Class 2
Choreography, costume, tasseling and striptease.
By this class, I would like everybody to be attending in costume. Please try to buy some tassels from Ebay or Anne Summers. I do have pairs you can borrow but nicer to have some of your own.
Also – I would like it if you had found a song you would like to dance to.
This class will be held in my private studio as we will be discovering sexy striptease moves…

Week 3
Hair and make up, tassel making and watching each others ‘work in progress’ shows. Group feed back on individual routines.
We have a lovely make up/ hair artist coming along to this called Kitty B.
I would also like to see what dances you have been working on at this class

Week 4
Performances, feedback.
By this session, I will be sitting back and enjoying the show – fingers crossed.

After the course finishes, you may want to continue working with myself and your fellow students. If so, we will discuss an intermediate course.

There may be performance opportunities at Sirens, a show I produce in Brighton, but the standard has to be high.
The next show is on Friday 28th October at The Latest Music Bar, Manchester St. Brighton.

Please bring an act/performance. We will watch as a group and give group feedback. We will also have a special guest to perform and offer tips and advice on getting into the business, performance and costume.

Using props. Please bring any props you feel you’d like to use in an act. We will also be working with fans.

Week 3
We will continue to work on your individual acts, including any prop work etc. We will also be looking at chair-dancing.
*Please come in costume.

Week 4
Performances of your ‘signature’ acts + group feedback. Please invite friends and family to come along to give moral support.

Sirens pulls out all the festive stops… Hic… The Cheesiest Polesque Christmas Show EVER… Santa, Rudolph and Mince Pies. Pole Dancing Elves and Burlesque Fairies. Cover your self in Tinsel, Wrap your Head in Mistletoe and take a Sleigh Ride together with us…

Private Studio:-
This is where we hold private lessons and smaller group parties. It’s a gorgeous, pink, feminine environment.
There are sofas, mirrors and lots of home comforts where we hope you will feel relaxed and happy.
